"Leespraat" and autism

Leespraat is a visual communicative approach that is often used in the counseling of children with Down syndrome. Almost all of these children have speech impediments. Leespraat is suitable for children who are hearing impaired and visually strong. This applies to many children with Down syndrome, but can also occur in other children with speech-language problems or developmental delays and thus in autism. For children with autism who are non-verbal, leespraat together with a supportive communication device is a godsend to give the child a voice. Characteristic of Leesspraak is the holistic approach. Leespraat is learning to read for your life. Learning to read is linked to all important aspects of development. Talk, understand, communicate and do it yourself. (The Reading Flower). From September 2022 I have room for leespraat guidance for 1 child/young person. 2x 1 hour per week. Costs are 45.00 euros per hour.
